This painting was my first painting on canvas covered board. It was a real learning experience. I had all these ideas involving ground action, but it is hard to put that much stuff in a small space and make it look right.
My next painting was of an F-15A Eagle that I worked on at Tyndall AFB, Florida while in the Air Force. I tried to stay away from action and concentrate on painting the plane so the focus was on the plane only.
This was my last practice painting on canvas board. The backgrounds are starting to get better and I was starting to see the direction I needed to go in.
